Physical Therapy Rehab Supervisor Full Time Days

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Rehab Supervisor is responsible for evaluation and treatment for inpatients upon referral from a Physician. The PT develops a plan of care for each patient referred and is responsible for its implementation and modification as necessary in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures relative to care and treatment of patient. The Supervisor will oversee operations and is responsible for cost effective quality operations.

Assists Rehabilitation Director or Manager with coordination of physical, occupational and/or speech therapy operations. Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI activities. Assure Competency of personnel within scope of professional’s respective practice act. Assists in formulating budget, evaluates performance versus budget and takes appropriate actions to remain within budgetary guidelines. Develops and implements systems of reviewing physical, occupational therapy and speech therapy charges and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
