Job Description
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid State of Mississippi license
- Working knowledge of computers, related technology, and software
- Prefer a minimum of three years of elementary, middle, or high school classroom teaching experience
- Meet other necessary requirements as stipulated by the Board of Trustees and the State Department of Education
Reports To: Curriculum Director
Job Goal
- Works with the Curriculum Director to develop strategies and plans, organize, and helps with the implementation of district educational objectives and goals. Assist with all educational activities related to maintaining the attributes of a highly effective school.
Assistant in Essential Functions & Performance Responsibilities
- Actively supports the WBCSD belief, mission, vision and goals
- Actively work with students to provide additional academic supports
- Works closely with the educational staff to provide growth opportunities and strategies to foster success in the classroom
- Assist the Curriculum Director in the determination of educational barriers and being an integral part in finding solutions to address those barriers
- Studies, evaluates and coordinates the effective use of data to improve instruction
- Supports and implements the district’s site-based management processes, site council procedures, and Community Engagement Councils to improve staff, parent, and community relations and involvement
- Supports and implements the district’s strategic plan
- Performs other duties as assigned
