TENNESSEE, GERMANTOWN (USA). The West Cancer Center & Research Institute is seeking a full-time, Board Certified Surgical Pathologist to join an established Histology Department in a large thriving cancer center.
Our Practice :
- Qualified candidates with an MD / DO, AP / CP or AP board certification, and eligibility for licensure in Tennessee and Mississippi should apply.
- Experience or expertise in Gynecologic Pathology and Breast Pathology is desired, but recent graduates with strong fellowship training and experienced surgical pathologists are encouraged to apply.
- Join our dedicated team of pathologists (hematopathologist and surgical pathologist), pathology assistants and histotechnologists in our Germantown, TN, headquarters.
- Annual volumes include approximately 3500 biopsies, 250 breast resections, 250 non-gynecologic cytology cases, and 300 outside consults, shared evenly among two surgical pathologists. Duties include limited frozen section coverage and weekly tumor board coverage.
- The Department supports West Tennessee's largest and most highly regarded cancer center and derives its specimens from a busy breast center, interventional radiology suite, local surgery center, and outpatient clinics with several satellite sites throughout the Midsouth.
- The cases are interesting and cover the full range of solid tissue neoplasia with a lesser number of benign cases mixed in. Our laboratory offers a wide range of immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization testing.
