West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealership in Butler PA, is seeking a skilled Service Technician, specializing in Turf Equipment, to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of lawn & garden equipment, compact tractors, implements and small construction equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
- Completes assigned work orders and maximizes billable time
- Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed, and on-time submittal of information
- Operates tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
- Maintains clean work area and performs work in an orderly fashion
- Follows safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- Experience performing repairs and maintenance on lawn & garden tractors, compact tractors, implements & attachments, and skid loaders preferred
- Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn & garden and heavy equipment
- Experience with basic computer functions; experience using computer-based diagnostic repair tools preferred
- Solid communications skills, verbal and writing
- Required to have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree preferred
- Must be willing to download company apps on your personal phone
