We are seeking a reliable and professional CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean driving record, and ensuring timely delivery to various locations. This is a part-time position that transitions to full-time during peak season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods to specified locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring it is secured for transport.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols while on the road.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of hours worked, mileage, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors regarding routes, delays, and issues.
- Assist with the preparation and inspection of materials and equipment before departure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- At least 3- 5 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and a positive work attitude.
- Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mannerly and professional radio etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CDL Driver is preferred.
- Clean background check and drug screening results.
- Experience with GPS systems and route planning software
