West Central School Nurse K-12
Overview
The School Nurse plays a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students within the school environment. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, addressing health concerns, and ensuring a safe learning atmosphere. The School Nurse will collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support the physical and emotional health of students.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 186 days per year
Qualifications: RN with a Bachelor Degree (preferred)
Maintain a professional relationship with staff, students and parents while preserving confidentiality of all medical information
Treat students and staff as needed
Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
Consult with teachers, school administration and other school staff regarding student care
Administer medication
Monitor student immunization records
Assuring all state reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner
Keep documentation on student care
Excellent communication, team and organizational skills
Other duties as assigned
