1.0 Secretary to the Instructional Technology Dept.
SUMMARY:
The Secretary to Coordinators of Instructional Technology is responsible for the day to day office functions of the Instructional Technology office.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports directly to the Instructional Technology Coordinators
- Works cooperatively with other administrators, supervisors, staff, parents and others to perform job responsibilities as outlined
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 12 month (260-262 days)
- Salary (step/level placement) & Benefits are as described in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. (starting at 21.59 per hour)
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent necessary
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications necessary
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts
Qualified candidate will be required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and to talk and hear; Sit and occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch; Have specific vision abilities, to include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus; Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and possess effective communication, judgmental, planning and human relations skills, and will be required to work under periods of stress due to the level of the position responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates staff professional development arrangements
- Maintains records of district technology initiatives and instructional technology databases.
- Maintains district instructional software inventory and records.
- Assists Coordinators with teacher and student account management of district provided platforms.
- Processes instructional technology purchase orders and maintains instructional technology budget spreadsheets; reconciles department records with business office reports.
- Prepares reports as requested by the Coordinators of Instructional Technology.
- Schedules meetings and room bookings for Coordinators.
- Assist Coordinators with technology needs, such as scheduling, payroll and substitute management.
- Assist Coordinators with vendor outreach and communication.
- Provide secretarial support as needed for departmental initiatives
