Career Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic
West Chester Township has an excellent opportunity for a career in fire suppression, prevention, and emergency medical service. Starting salary Step 1 - $69,704.56 (Wage to be adjusted, currently under negotiations with Union). Applicants with Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic service with a Village, City, County, or other Public Agency, may start as high as Step 3 ($77,582.83 – Wage to be adjusted). The applicant's career history will be utilized in determining their entry-level. Excellent benefits package.

Required Qualifications:
- Certified by the State of Ohio as an EMT or Paramedic and a minimum of Ohio Firefighter Level II at the time of appointment
- Must be 18 years old & a high school graduate or equivalent at the time of appointment
- EMT applicants must obtain Paramedic Certification within 3 years of enrollment into a Paramedic Program - Department will pay for Paramedic training
- Must be physically able to perform all firefighter/paramedic duties.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Hazardous Materials Technician and State of Ohio Fire Safety Inspector certifications or have ability to obtain within one year of hire
