Reporting to the Assistant Vice President & University Registrar, the Associate Registrar for Systems and Operations oversees the technical aspects of student record management including implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the student information systems (SIS) and collaborates to develop and support new initiatives to improve customer service, efficiency, and staff development. This position also provides leadership, training, and technical support in the daily operations of the Office of the Registrar.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent project management and leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven, and team environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar, Academic and Enterprise Systems, and other campus partners to develop, improve, and streamline registration and student records processes in registrar systems including Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, and OnBase
- Serve as a functional lead for the Banner Student Information System (SIS)
- Support office staff with operational updates to SIS and other office systems
- Support report building (Argos) and Degree Audit (DegreeWorks)
- Support registration processes, upgrades and testing, and training of staff
- Manage the Office of the Registrar production calendar and monitor deliverables and deadlines
- Lead preparation timeline for each registration cycle and support system set up
- Assist in the planning and development of staff training, development opportunities, and retreats
- Proactively monitor student records to identify and correct inaccurate data
- Assist in the development of internal documentation for Banner processes and procedures
- Coordinate with other offices including Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, and The Graduate School to support system needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of system project management experience
- Two years of higher education, enrollment, or Registrar's Office experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Registrar practices and procedures
- Master’s degree
- Experience using student information systems/applications including Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, ProcessMaker, OnBase, 25Live, Parchment, Comply/Act 48, and CourseLeaf
- Leadership experience including staff supervision
