Job Description
Our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
We are looking for a motivated research engineer to join our team, whose mission is to create and apply scientific knowledge about the cognitive system to improve human experiences in Dexterity Manipulation.
We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in supporting machine learning / deep learning applications.
Our team of researchers is identifying cognitively-inspired solutions for human computer interaction.
The chosen candidates will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement protocols & pipelines for automated sensor evaluation.
Process and analyze sensor signal for SOP sensor performance evaluation.
Develop GUIs and tools for sensor data visualization and exploration.
Implement machine learning models for wearable sensor signals.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, applied math, sensing & control, robotics, or a related field.
3 years experience with sensor data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
3 years of experience coding with Python and software engineering best practices (version control, code reviews). Knowledge of MATLAB is a plus.
Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) and sensor characterization.
Experience developing GUIs, data visualization & exploration tools using QT, HTML5 (Plotly, Chart.js, D3.js, etc) or other toolkits
Experience implementing, debugging, fine-tuning machine learning models.
Preferred qualifications
Master's degree and 1 years of industry experience.
Experience bringing-up and debugging prototype/scientific software-hardware systems (e.g., wearable sensing systems, multi-camera sensing/tracking solutions like OptiTrack, etc.).
Experience with sensor fusion, human-computer interaction (HCI), human-machine collaboration, machine learning, deep learning, or related fields.
Experience with C or C programming and virtual reality (VR) application development.
