As the Front Desk Associate at West Coast Strength, you'll be the go-to person for creating a positive first impression and delivering a high-quality experience for our members. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for fitness, enjoys interacting with people, and can handle a variety of tasks efficiently. You'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation as a top-tier gym by balancing customer service, sales, and facility upkeep with a can-do attitude and a professional approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engaging Customer Service:
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to all members and guests, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they step into the gym.
- Be attentive and present at the front desk, ready to assist, check in guests, and handle inquiries with a positive demeanor.
2. Proactive Sales and Member Engagement:
- Lead tours for potential members, highlighting what makes our gym stand out, and assist with new member sign-ups.
- Drive sales of products and services, including food, drinks, supplements, and apparel, by understanding member needs and offering suitable options.
3. Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Ensure the gym is always clean, organized, and inviting – a reflection of our high standards and commitment to excellence.
- Manage cleaning schedules and tasks efficiently, ensuring a well-maintained facility at all times.
4. Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the Membership and Operations Coordinator to ensure seamless operations and excellent member experiences.
- Participate in a structured training process, gaining the skills and confidence needed for success in the role.
Performance Metrics:
- Performance will be evaluated based on customer service quality, sales achievements, facility maintenance standards, and overall contribution to the gym's operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or experience in customer service, sales, or related field is a plus.
- A genuine interest in fitness and an understanding of gym operations.
