Job Summary:
West Coast Surgical is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our Half Moon Bay, CA. facility. The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and materials meet the required quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying the quality of products through visual, dimensional, and functional checks, ensuring they meet specific guidelines and specifications. The QC Inspector plays a key role in maintaining product consistency, identifying potential defects, and collaborating with the production team to support quality control objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing visual inspections to verify coatings, burrs, laser markings, and anodization finishes, ensuring compliance with specifications
- Conducts basic dimensional inspections as needed to verify conformance to drawings
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of associates and relevant functional departments
- Must be capable of independently prioritizing visual inspection tasks, maintaining inspection records, and identifying trends in inspection data
- Works effectively in a team setting, supporting quality objectives
- Uses general decision-making skills and judgment to verify that visual quality standards are maintained
Education and/or Experience (Minimum Requirements)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications related to quality control or inspection processes are a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand basic drawings and inspection criteria for coatings, burrs, laser markings, and anodization finishes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection processes
- Neat, accurate, and complete record-keeping skills
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) for documentation purposes
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Communication skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as necessary.
- Ability to work with various inspection tools and equipment.
