Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shop Foreman with a proven track record in automotive repair and leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of automotive technicians.
- Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of work and professionalism at all times.
- Ensure technicians adhere to established protocols and best practices.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure every vehicle undergoes a thorough digital vehicle inspection before any work begins.
- Perform detailed quality control checks on all completed repairs to minimize comebacks and uphold our quality standards.
- Verify that diagnostics are clearly and accurately explained on each invoice.
- Process & System Accuracy:
- Oversee that every invoice includes precise and actionable recommendations, ensuring our CRM system captures accurate data for follow-ups and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the service advisors to communicate effectively with customers about recommended services and repairs.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive repair techniques, tools, and technology.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Monitor and ensure the shop’s equipment is properly maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with shop policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Additional Duties:
- Support parts ordering and inventory management as required.
- Engage in continuous process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold and promote our shop’s core values, including integrity, precision, and a customer-first approach.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience.
- ASE certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and technical skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team, manage conflicts, and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, digital inspection systems, and shop management/CRM software.
- Strong commitment to high quality, customer service, and safety.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
