Description
WestCongress Insurance Services LLC is an insurance producer with authority to bind commercial general and excess liability insurance policies in select segments. We are seeking a Claim Operations Assistant to complete administrative duties and tasks for the Claim Department in accordance with company standards, procedures, and State regulatory requirements. The Claims Operations Assistant supports the adjusting process and participates in clearing and logging incoming claims, mail, data collection and entry, bill pay, and deductible process and other tasks related to the management of claim operations as required.
As a Claim Operations Assistant you will be asked to utilize our claim administration systems to clear and log incoming mail, including logging new claims, invoices, and other correspondence, obtain and upload file documentation, bill pay and deductible processing and perform other data entry and administrative tasks.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Indexing of incoming mail, enter claims data into database and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Process claim payments efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting practices. Prepare payments for approval and post to appropriate claims.
• Assist with generating and processing invoices for deductible recovery. Ensure all
payments related to deductible recoveries are tracked and properly allocated.
• Process and distribute weekly and monthly reports assigned.
• Provide support to Claim Examiners including completion of OFAC queries and issuance of check enclosure letters and file closing notices.
• Assist with CMS Medicare Reporting entry and follow-up.
• Manages incoming calls and performs customer service functions.
• Become familiar with insurance coverage by studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms,
• Use EXCEL or WORD to complete projects for the Claims Department, when requested.
• Shadow and learn essential claim handling duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Able to manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good working in a team environment
• Willing to work outside area of responsibility to support the growth of the business.
• Ability to organize work and perform within time constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in math, typing, Microsoft Word & Excel and other computer software & systems.
• Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
