What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at West Delaware?
West Delaware is seeking a Special Education Teacher. An Instructional Strategist II Behavior Disorder endorsement is preferred, but a conditional or emergency license will also be strongly considered. Experience working with students with behavior disorders preferred but not required.
West Delaware has a student enrollment of approximately 1,400 students in grades PK-12. We have three attendance centers: Lambert Elementary serving PK-4, West Delaware Middle School serving 5-8, and West Delaware High School serving 9-12. Our district has PLC time scheduled every Wednesday starting at 1:30 and our school district is 1:1 using Chromebooks. Lambert Elementary and the Middle School are located on one campus. Both schools are PBIS schools that also have a focus on social emotional well-being of all of our students and staff. Considered a state and regional leader in work based learning, the West Delaware family offers a collaborative learning environment among staff and a caring and supportive community.
