This is a general job pool for Sprecial Education Instructional Strategist II BD / LD jobs for the 2025-26 school year.
State of Iowa teaching license with K-12 Instructional Strategist II : ID endorsement required.
Candidate will need to complete both written and physical components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.
Qualifications :
A. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
- Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
- Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
- Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
- Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
- Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
- Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
- Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
- Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.
