What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Counselor/Behavior Interventionist position at West Elementary?
The Behavior Interventionist/Counselor supports staff and assist students by developing a behavior plan to achieve improved academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals. This position collaborates with various groups providing monitoring and training using behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, coping skills, and problem solving for behavioral challenges. The position provides a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program for all students and consults with parents/guardians, teachers, and other school staff members to enhance their effectiveness in guiding and supporting students in progressing through the grade levels and provides support for the other education programs in the individual schools.
Must have a MS certification with endorsement 436-Guidance Counselor.
