SUMMARY: The High School Learner Mentor creates an engaging, nurturing, and safe learning environment that allows learners to develop their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing; providing instruction, future ready skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be compassionate, lifelong-learners, and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world.
The High School Learner Mentor would meet with small groups of at-risk learners 3-4 times a week to create a supportive community, foster a sense of belonging, and promote personal accountability. The schedule will be determined in collaboration with the head principal and the mentor's availability during school hours (7:30-4:00p).
