What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at West Fargo VFW Post 7564?
We are looking for positive and motivated individuals to join our wonderful team of servers for a full-time position. Intention is you can work at least 5 days per week including Fridays and Saturdays. Must be 21 years or older. Apply online or stop by for an application! We're looking forward to meeting you! Must be reliable and able to get to work on time. Shifts typically start between 3:30PM and 4:15PM for servers.
Qualifications
- Proficient in POS systems, such as SkyTab and Toast
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in serving in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in a bar/restaurant setting is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash and giving change
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take and process orders accurately using POS systems, such as SkyTab or Toast.
- Serve food and beverages while ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Handle cash and process payments, maintaining accuracy in transactions.
- Assist in banquet and catering events as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
