TITLE: Elementary School Secretary  West Franklin Elementary @ Appanoose  

West Franklin USD 287 is accepting applications for the position of School Secretary starting full-time at the beginning of the 25-26 school year.  The actual date is contingent on the approval of the 25-26 school calendar by the board of education, but typically will be around August 1.  A two-week paid training period would be available during April/May, 2025.

USD 287 offers full paid single BC/BS health plan, KPERS retirement, 10 days of discretionary leave per year accumulating up to 60 leave days, sick leave bank is available. Section 125 benefits & 403 (b) plans available.

West Franklin USD 287 is located in Franklin County and provides instruction to approximately 640 students. The district includes the following schools: West Franklin Elementary at Appanoose (PK - 5), West Franklin Elementary at Williamsburg (PK-5), West Franklin Middle School (8) and West Franklin High School (9-12). West Franklin serves the communities of Centropolis, Pomona and Williamsburg.  West Franklin is located about 40 minutes southeast of Topeka, 40 minutes minutes southwest of Lawrence and less than an hour from the Kansas City metro area.
