What you will do :
- Safe operation of fork trucks.
- Extensive knowledge of approved mill travel routes for Shipping and Production.
- Compliance with all mill Safety Policies.
- Communicate warehouse issues to Shipping Supervisor for correction.
- Safety Behavioral Observations of non-company truck drivers and occupants.
- Communicate with non-company truck drivers about mill Safety Policies for corrected behavior when necessary.
- Simple Finished Goods Quality Packaging Inspection prior to loading.
- Isolate non-conforming finished goods for rework.
- Accurate scanning of finished goods using a handheld scanner to a Bill of Lading or Pick List.
- Grouping of “like” finished goods in a bay to make room in warehouse.
- Accurate unit identification.
- Initial all inbound sheets and bill of ladings of accurate number of units loaded and recordkeeping
- Execute proper pattern loading for flatbed trailers, vans and railcars with approved packaging as required by mill loading standard.
- Work safely and effectively in a team environment
- Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area
- Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping
- Attend team meetings and regular training sessions
- Complete required Safety Training on time.
- Other duties as assigned
