The Corporate Reliability Engineer will be responsible for driving and monitoring reliability across all West Fraser operations. The selected candidate will work closely with the mills, other reliability professionals, and regional leadership to:
- Champion all condition-based monitoring standards and programs
- Ensure all condition based monitoring and lubrication systems are properly implemented into Maximo
- Establish KPIs to ensure reliability centered maintenance program is measurable, effective, and sustainable
- Develop and maintain lubrication standards
- Develop dashboards to actively monitor and communicate health of our assets
- Provide on-site support to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for complex equipment related issues
- Analyze and track global failure trends to identify common problems and oversee resolutions across the company
- Assist in development of preventative and predictive maintenance plans
- Assist in development of divisional life cycle plans and criticality assessments
- Participate in annual and long term reliability and capital planning
- Provide technical expertise in analyzing, developing, and evaluating new maintenance technologies and equipment.
- Assist in ensuring reliability systems are implemented on all capital projects
- Support reliability training to maintenance and reliability employees
- Degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the sawmill industry
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office, Maximo, Power BI, and AutoCAD
- Knowledgeable in condition monitoring best practices
- Proficiency in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Excellent skills in all forms of communication, including technical report writing
- Holding any of these certifications would be an advantage:
- Certified Lubrication Specialist or Machinery Lubrication Engineer
- Fluid Power Specialist
- Vibration Analyst Certification
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional
