Job Title: Plant-Electrician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled journey-level Plant-Electrician to perform complex electrical and electronic work in our heavy manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling electro-mechanical and solid-state electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and correct electrical problems of heavy manufacturing equipment using hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment using various test equipment, meters, and tools.
- Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems and install new equipment according to National Electrical Code and company standards.
- Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems used in the facility, including Powerflex VFDs, drives, and controls.
- Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of electrical and other maintenance-related laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, shop drawings, electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and nameplates.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) units and computer-based equipment.
- Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call to meet facility needs.
