Industrial Automation Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Technician to join our team at West Fraser. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining industrial automation systems.
This includes:
- Designing and implementing electrical systems
- Testing and inspecting electrical systems
- Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Installing electrical equipment
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in an industrial environment with a strong emphasis on safety
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and be on-call to support 24/7 operations
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC5, ControlLogix 5000, and Panelviews
- Experience with Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Porter, USNR)
