Job Summary:
The Quality Control Lab Technician at West Fraser is responsible for monitoring the quality of board production during assigned shifts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform 2-3 board tests per shift
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Transport test boards and products
- Conduct lab testing according to West Fraser's OSB guidelines and procedures
- Communicate with operators and management regarding quality specifications
- Troubleshoot quality issues and adhere to safety practices
Requirements:
- Strong math skills and legible handwriting
- Able to bend, stoop, walk, and climb constantly throughout shifts
- Proficient computer operation and basic hand tools
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
