What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Pastor position at WEST GEORGIA CHRISTIAN CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP?
We’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Campus Pastor to lead and shepherd our ministry, creating meaningful experiences & events that foster spiritual growth, discipleship, and community among students. This position is a full time position. The heart of our mission is to reach college students for Jesus at The University of West Georgia
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Preaching
- Be the primary speaker for our Tuesday night services, guiding students with engaging and impactful messages.
Discipleship & Evangelism
- Oversee all discipleship groups and develop a strategy to build up believers across UWG and West Georgia.
- Cultivate a heart for evangelism, helping students grow as disciples and share Christ with others.
- Disciple students weekly specifically offering support to the male students of our ministry
Community Building
- Create systems to connect first-timers, regular attendees, drifters, and returning students, encouraging engagement and involvement in CCF.
- Partner with the Outreach Coordinator to ensure every new student feels welcomed and connected.
Leadership & Operations
- Provide vision and direction for student ministry that takes place on Tuesday nights (this includes messages, worship, and all aspects of CCF’s ministry with students
- Lead day-to-day ministry operations
Staff Collaboration
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
- Partner with the Campus Director on various projects including fundraising occasionally
- Assist with Outreach Coordinator and be present during weekly outreach efforts on campus/community
Qualifications
- A strong, mature Christian faith with a clear testimony of salvation & calling to ministry.
- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, biblical studies, or a related field preferred or being worked toward
- Proven experience (2 years) in student or campus ministry
- Demonstrated ability to teach, preach, and communicate effectively to large and small groups.
- Experience in leading and discipling teams or groups of students.
- Strong biblical knowledge and the ability to teach and mentor students in their faith journey.
