Business and Finance Teacher (FTE 1.0)

West Hartford Public Schools is seeking a full-time Business & Finance teacher who is a dynamic, dedicated and engaging classroom leader. Experience with Accounting, Finance and Entrepreneurship is preferred.

Requirement: Current CT Certification (010).

Primary responsibilities include:

• Plan engaging lessons and developing instructional materials and assessments.
• Create a welcoming and structured classroom environment.
• Work with the department to develop curriculum on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in professional growth activities.

Qualifications:

• Must have deep knowledge of accounting, finance and entrepreneurship
• Must be prepared to teach any assigned business class from the program of studies.
• Must be a team player willing to work in a strong, collaborative environment.
• Must have strong technology skills in both Microsoft Office and the Google platform
