We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team at our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to support our veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role involves direct interaction with animals, assisting in various procedures, and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.Must work well in a team environment,be on time and show up for work during scheduled work times.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with client communication.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic, including equipment sterilization.
- Support animal husbandry practices to promote the health and well-being of all patients.
- Provide compassionate care to animals in critical care situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a veterinary clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques and animal husbandry principles.
- Ability to perform basic veterinary technician duties under supervision.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
