West Herr Auto Group in Buffalo, NY needs to hire an Accounting Clerk who will be responsible for completing the daily accounting and bookkeeping activities necessary for ensuring the financial and accounting records of the dealerships are properly maintained and reported to the manufacturers and the upper management monthly. You will report to Corporate Controllers or appointed Accountant/Accounting Manager

Responsibilities/Skills – Accounting Clerk:
- Ability to maintain filing systems and keep the workspace organized
- Ability to conduct basic financial analyses
- Working knowledge of bank and insurance terminology and processes
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficient keyboarding and other office machine skills
- Full mathematical skills
- Can convey necessary information (in writing and verbally) to your supervisors when requested
- Must be capable of working independently, effectively managing his or her time and workflow
- Able to keep communication lines open with team members and consider different viewpoints and recommendations as part of decision making
- Able to meet reporting deadlines in a timely and efficient matter
- Able to take on special projects and have them completed within the required time frame
- Able to handle other assigned clerical duties in accounts payable and accounts receivable, if necessary
- Reconcile accounts and schedules
- Knows proper accounting methods related to job function
Qualifications/Requirements – Accounting Clerk:
Experience is required- Associate’s degree in finance/accounting preferred
- High school diploma required
- Proficient in Excel
- Multi-tasking
- Self-starter
- Trainable
