2024-2025 Salary Schedule (dependent on education level-Bachelor's through Master's 45) :

Experience Years 0-4 : Step 1 - $57,133 to $59,885 in public education

Experience Years 5-8 : Step 2 - $57,967 to $60,719 in public education

Experience Years 9 : Step 3 - $58,733 to $61,485 in public education

District sponsored health benefits up to family level or buyout

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • A valid and Active Pennsylvania Computer Science 7-12 Teaching Certificate required; Business-Computer-Info-Tech (BCIT) also preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience at the high school level is preferred
  • Skilled in the use of G-Suite, student information systems, and willingness to explore and work with new technologies
  • Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work under pressure, be flexible, and work as part of a team
  • Self-motivated; demonstrated initiative and ability to follow through with completion of tasks
  • Ability to build trust and positive working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, while remaining logical and interpers
  • Ability to effectively present information and articulately respond to questions from administrators, staff, parents, students, business and educational partners, and the general public

REPORTS TO : Building Principal or designee

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE : A teacher must demonstrate knowledge of a variety of instructional strategies and formative and summative assessments to facilitate student success and growth in academic and social / emotional skills. The teacher creates a flexible and safe learning environment and provides effective feedback on student progress.

PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Models and exemplifies the district's core values
  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning
  • Plans and prepares daily lessons based on formative assessment data that includes a variety of instructional methods for the purpose of addressing individual student learning styles
  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs
  • Conducts individual, small group, and large group instruction as appropriate
  • Provides assessment feedback to the students, parents and administration in a timely manner
  • Make all necessary referrals to the guidance counselors, the Student Assistance Program (SAP) and / or special education
  • Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, and parents and others for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student learning
  • Reviews and implements all Specially Designed Instruction (SDI's) and modifications for students with a learning disability in the classroom
  • Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws
  • Responds appropriately to emergency situations according to the Safety plan
  • Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment that maximizes instructional time.
  • Monitors students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents
  • Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty
  • Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Building Principal and / or designee
