BEHAVIOR FACILITATOR
REPORTS TO: Intermediate School Administration
PAY TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory
PAY RATE: Starting at $22 / hr., with potential for increases based on experience
BENEFITS: Eligible for benefits (see attachment for details)
SCHEDULE: Full-time; 6.75 hours / day; 186 paid days / year; Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and develop individualized behavioral intervention plans for students
- Implement and monitor the effectiveness of behavior plans, adjusting as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to ensure consistent behavioral support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavioral data
- Communicate with all appropriate parties regarding student progress and interventions
- Report any concerns regarding child safety or welfare to the appropriate authorities
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Registered Behavioral Therapist certification preferred (or willingness to become certified
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Strong foundation in applied behavior analysis
- Understanding of behavioral characteristics associated with behavior disorders and special needs
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate behavior intervention plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to special education
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in a school environment with students who may have challenging behaviors
- Frequently exposed to emotionally charged situations, requiring strong emotional resilience
- Regularly works with teachers, staff, and other professionals in a team-oriented environment
- Occasional exposure to challenging or disruptive behavior situations
- Requires flexibility to adapt to various school settings and student needs
