MULTILINGUAL LEARNER (ML) PARAPROFESSIONAL
REPORTS TO: Intermediate School Administration
PAY TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Classified, Non-Supervisory
PAY RATE: Starting at $15 / hr.
BENEFITS: Eligible for voluntary benefits (see attachment)
SCHEDULE: Part-time; 3 days per week; Follows school calendar

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with Multilingual Learner (ML) teacher of record and general education teachers, follows ML plans, works with students’ instructional needs, leads small group instruction, supports ML students in the general education setting, and prepares for daily lessons
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent (minimum)
- Displays excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Experience working in a school environment preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to work as a team with other staff
- Displays dependability and punctuality
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Bilingual or multilingual candidate preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position works indoors in a typical school classroom environment
- May work near others, often within a few feet
- May occasionally be exposed to noise levels that are distracting
