Kindergarten Teacher
Job Description: General Classroom Endorsement that includes Kindergarten
• Full-time position, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
• Serving General Education in Kindergarten
Qualifications:
• General Classroom Endorsement
• Cultural competency/experience working with a diverse population
• Must believe that all students can learn
• Must possess a collaborative nature
• Must understand the importance of language culture in a school setting and its effect on academics
• Must be an innovative, passionate, and energetic individual
• Successful experience working students with special needs preferred
• Must believe in play and oracy based early learning experiences
• Spanish Bilingual preferred but not required

Duties:
• Plans classroom instruction that supports innovative, standards-aligned learning
• Aligns lessons with Iowa Core and ELP standards
• Works collaboratively with content area/grade level teams
• Creates a climate that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
• Employs research-based/evidence-based methods and materials
• Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports including alternative assessments as necessary
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required
• Develop and maintain an effective level of communication with appropriate personnel
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence
• Maintains state and district required certifications
