Job Title: 5-8 Middle School Principal
Location: West Liberty, IA

Job Summary:

The West Liberty CSD is seeking a dynamic and experienced Middle School Principal to provide visionary leadership and oversee the academic and administrative functions of our middle school. The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator with a passion for fostering a positive school culture, enhancing student achievement, and supporting professional growth for staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional leadership to ensure high academic standards and student success.

• Develop and implement school policies, procedures, and programs aligned with district and state regulations.

• Foster a positive and inclusive school climate that supports the social, emotional, and academic needs of all students.

• Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff, promoting professional development and growth.

• Engage with students, parents, and the community to build strong relationships and partnerships.

• Oversee the school’s budget, resource allocation, and operational management.

• Ensure compliance with educational laws, policies, and safety procedures.

• Lead initiatives for curriculum development, assessment, and instructional improvements.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.

• Valid state principal certification/license.

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.

• Strong understanding of middle school education, curriculum standards, and student development.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and the school community.

• Experience with data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a diverse educational setting.

• Proficiency in educational technology and data analytics tools.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary:  $100,000-$110,000
