WMCB is hiring a Credit Analyst for our growing bank.
Position summary:
This position will primarily support the commercial lending function by analyzing financial information and preparing loan presentations to be reviewed for loan approvals. Other duties include tracking the timely receipt of financial data and assisting with the Bank’s various regulatory examinations and loan review experiences.
This position works very closely with the entire commercial lending staff and on occasion other departments as well.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Develops credits, in the form of a loan write up, for use by lending officers or committees in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
- Spreads financial statements.
- Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches, and determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information.
- Watches for any developing problems and keeps loan officers informed.
- Performs analysis for presentations, including the use of stress testing, financial covenants, UCA cash flow and more detailed analysis.
- Prepares and maintains control of workflow and all commercial presentations, including final approvals.
- Miscellaneous reports and investigations: preparing board reports, floor plan audits, problem resolution.
- Follow federal regulations and related internal procedures.
Minimum knowledge and skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently is essential
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job
- Excellent service orientation and team approach
