Summary
Primarily supports the Commercial Loan function of the Bank through the underwriting of commercial credits. This involves analyzing all types of credit information for a variety of businesses and loan types and preparing loan request presentations for use by lending officers and loan committees in the making of lending decisions. This involves a variety of supporting tasks as well.
This position works very closely with the entire commercial lending staff and on occasion other departments as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing and analyzing all pertinent financial information, including tax returns and financial statements, credit bureaus, existing credit files, and other pertinent information.
- Performing analysis including the use of trend analysis, stress testing, financial covenants, traditional and universal credit analysis cash flow, and other detailed analysis.
- Spreading financial statements.
- Preparing written loan request presentations for use by lending officers and loan committees in the making of lending decisions.
- Identifying any potential developing problems and keeping loan officers informed.
- Managing workflow for commercial presentations.
- Preparing, ordering, and / or reviewing miscellaneous reports and investigations, including, but not limited to appraisals, property evaluations, collateral audits, and problem loan resolution.
- Updating various tracking systems, including financial statement reporting, lending covenants, and Policy exceptions.
- Presenting loan requests for approval as required.
- Training and mentoring non-Senior Credit Analysts in the department.
- Following federal and state regulations, Lending Policy, and related internal procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may involve other loan areas.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in finance, accounting, or business from four-year college or university preferred.
One to two years previous experience
