Boar's Head Brand Merchandiser/Driver

Opportunity to join a thriving distributor of the Boar's Head Brand in Grand Rapids/West Michigan.

The Boar's Head Merchandiser's main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have the knowledge of our products as it relates to the deli.

The duties of a Boar's Head merchandiser are listed below but not limited to:

• Safely operate a deli slicer
• Drive 16ft box truck (standard driver's license and clean record required)
• Set up/merchandise deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
• understand and execute schematics/planograms
• Maintain marketing displays using Boar's Head Point of Sale (POS)
• Needs to be a self-starter, work in a team environment with little or no supervision
• Manage time effectively and productively
• Complete all reports as necessary including store surveys
• Consistently provide coverage to all stores within territory
• Make regular store visits documenting all concerns/problems (i.e. shortages, equipment, ordering issues etc.)
• Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service to deli managers and store directors.
• Communicate effectively with our retail partners.
• Explore opportunities for sales growth w/manager.
• Maintain full displays
• Maintain clean/safe work environment
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory
• Understand product knowledge and food safety best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred)
• Deli: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
