With five locations across West Michigan, we offer an extensive range of services including truck sales, leasing/rental, financing, parts delivery, and more. We are currently seeking a Parts Counterperson to play a key role in our growth and success. Responsibilities- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding parts status.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with staff and customers.
- Utilize the parts catalog to look up parts.
- Provide price quotes and other information over the phone.
- Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers.
- Fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks for stock accuracy.
- Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
- Process emergency orders for out-of-stock parts from external sources, if necessary.
- Ensure all internal parts requests are billed on service repair orders.
- Handle payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Commit to continuous learning about our inventory and product lines.
- Respond promptly to changes in the market.
- Set and achieve personal and company goals.
- Effective communication skills via phone, email, and text.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on customer service.
- Prior experience with Heavy Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, RVs parts.
- Knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck Parts Products.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Technical skills, including proficiency with MS Office products and web-based marketing applications.
