Position Overview:
The Retail Operations Manager is a key member of the Store Management team, responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering customer loyalty through superior service. Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager, the Operations Manager will lead an engaged and productive team, demonstrating initiative and setting a positive example.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall Store Management:
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing daily operations, policy implementation, and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise, assign, and direct activities of the store team to ensure optimal performance.
2. Sales and Inventory Management:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and inventory levels to drive profitability and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to develop action plans for operational improvements.
3. Employee Staffing, Training, and Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance customer service and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
4. Financial Management:
- Assist in managing the store budget, preparing financial reports, and driving cost-effective operations.
5. Customer Service Leadership:
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints.
- Promote a culture of exceptional service among the team.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and work effectively with store crews, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Assist customers with their questions and concerns, reinforcing the importance of a patient-centered approach.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in implementing action plans for service and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer applications.
- Advanced communication, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Previous experience as a retail manager or supervisor in a pharmacy or similar setting.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and relevant factors.
