What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Assistant position at West Monona Elementary School?
West Monona High School is in search of a High School Food Service Assistant.
Candidates will assist in the preparation and serving of food assume responsibilities in the dish room and other duties assigned by the Food Service Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Candidates must be physically able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods in warm surroundings
- Has manual dexterity to handle dishes, knives, and other pieces of kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, choppers and scales
- Is able to lift materials weighing up to 60 pounds
- Practice safe, proper and efficient use of all kitchen equipment
- Maintains cleanliness in the kitchen as directed by the Food Service Director and in a manner consistent with health department standards
- Ability to work productively with coworkers
- Has an understanding of weights, measurements and portion control
- Willing to earn CEU (Certification of Education Units) as required
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Food Service Director, principals and/or superintendent
The Food Service Assistant position is a 10-month position at the high school with the hours of 7:00am – 1:00pm, Mon-Fri (in session school days only).
