West Monona High/Middle School is seeking a 7-12 Special Education Classroom Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. They must have an in-depth understanding of the learning process and specific knowledge of the unique physical, social, emotional, and academic development of elementary and middle school students. Additionally, they should demonstrate effective classroom management skills by fostering positive relationships with students and families. The candidate must be able to differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the needs of all learners.

Education and Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Iowa teaching license or the ability to obtain the required certification or Class B license by the district’s start date

- Maintain open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and school staff
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
