West Monroe is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to play a significant role in our financial planning, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and strategic analysis efforts. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights, forecast trends, and support data-driven decision-making that will help fuel West Monroe’s growth. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to translate complex financial results into clear, impactful business strategies. This role will be a key member of the Finance leadership team, reporting to the head of Finance, and will manage a rapidly growing team of professionals. This role will be based out of our Chicago office.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Play a key leadership role in the annual planning process and ongoing financial forecasting, ensuring that financial plans align with operational and strategic goals working with a cross functional team.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Lead the design, development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models (including multi-scenario forecasting, revenue modeling, cost structures, and valuation analyses) to assess business performance, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support decision-making across the business.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and assess profitability.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Reporting & Communication: Present financial results and reports to executive leadership, board members, and investors that provide clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- 10 year of experience in financial planning and analysis and/or financial modeling
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (CPA, CFA or MBA is a plus)
- Strong proficiency in creating complex financial models, forecasts, and analysis. Expert in Excel and financial systems.
- Experience building processes that will scale with anticipated business growth
- Hands-on approach to leading and proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, results oriented culture with shifting priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Ability to forge collaborative relationships with internal and external constituents at all levels
- Passion for developing talent
- Professional services industry experience a plus
- Knowledge of Workday ERP a plus
- Hybrid role (1 to 2 days a week in the office)
