We offer a variety of services that include crown and bridge, extractions, ortho, endodontics, implants, sedation, same-day crowns, dermal fillers, botox and so much more! We have experts who handle scheduling and insurance, a Marketing Director who keeps our new patient numbers growing currently at 60-65 per month with a goal of being over 70 after hiring a new associate.
You will be working alongside our experienced and dedicated Doctor/Owner, Dr. Abercrombie, who is more than willing to assist and teach newly graduated Doctors. As well as our incredible Lead Hygienist Coreen, who has over 30 years experience in the dental field, and you will be assisted by our highly motivated and talented Dental Assistants and EDDAS.

West Mountain Dental is located in beautiful Pueblo West, Colorado only 40 minutes south of Colorado Springs and a short drive from the Pueblo Reservoir and San Isabel National Forest. The Pueblo and Pueblo West area is a rapidly growing region of approximately 133,000 people. Our office is surrounded by a variety of businesses and opportunities for you to explore. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing exams and evaluating X-rays to determine a patient’s health
- Developing treatment plans to deal with any dental health issues
- Providing cosmetic services like teeth whitening, bonding and veneers to enhance the appearance of teeth
- Filling cavities, performing root canals, applying crowns and installing bridges and implants to fix broken and missing teeth
- Administering or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health
- Interacting with patients and instructing them on proper oral care
- Measuring and fitting dental appliances
- Maintaining accurate patient records
SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of the current standards of care for dentistry and the latest oral health treatments available
- Observational skills to diagnose oral health problems based on the findings of exams and X-rays
- Ability to remain upright for long periods while treating patients
- Interpersonal skills to put patients at ease and encourage positive interactions during appointments
- Strong oral communication skills to convey clear instructions to both patients and assisting staff
- Computer skills to utilize computer-aided dentistry equipment and medical records software
- Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment, such as mouth mirrors, probes, drills, scalers and curettes
- Up-to-date knowledge on patient safety, infection control and privacy laws and regulations
