Sanitation Crew Member

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Crew Member to join our team at West Pak Avocado. As a key member of our Sanitation Crew, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our avocado packinghouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the master sanitation schedule to ensure the facility is cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and deep clean surfaces and machinery to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Lift, carry, and dump debris in containers to ensure efficient waste management.
• Report any need for repairs or maintenance to the Sanitation Crew Lead.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery for cleaning and sanitizing purposes.
• Follow all food safety, quality control, and company policies and procedures at all times.
• Work under the supervision of the FSQA Supervisor to maintain the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and provide continuous improvement suggestions.
• Assist in documenting and recording cleaning and sanitation supplies and inventory levels.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in the Produce/Manufacturing industry.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working Sunday to Friday, 4:30pm to 1:30am. The base pay for this role is $20.00/hour to $21.00/hour, with the actual pay determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

The incumbent will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and upper body movements. Specific vision acuity is required, including close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and color vision when cleaning products. Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching above and below shoulder level, lifting, and carrying. The employee will also be in contact with chemical products and machinery.
