Job Summary
The West Palm Beach Housing Authority is seeking a reliable Porter for our Autumn Ridge Development which is a new constructed housing unit for the elderly. The Porter will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for both guests and staff. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle various tasks efficiently while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or meetings as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters.
• Ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly after use.
• Respond promptly to requests from management or other staff members regarding cleaning or maintenance needs.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages to management.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
