Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) any discipline

West Park Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Director of Rehab/DOR who is PA licensed to oversee therapy department and support the mission, values and vision of organization. Ideal candidate will have a leadership background in SNF/LTC for this integral role to ensure the delivery of quality care and achieving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, orient and mentor all therapy staff; excited about the opportunity to 'build a rehab department' with the very best

• Rare in-house therapy program, unique opportunity

• Review all relevant data and utilize clinical judgement to ensure appropriate delivery of therapy care to maximize outcomes and meet desired goals at discharge

• Plan accordingly to schedule staff based on clinical needs and coordinate treatment activity of staff members

• Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and understands the role of rehabilitation for all therapy disciplines

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and organization of all departmental paperwork, including conducting documentation audits

• Prompt preparation and delivery of any regular or ad hoc reports

• Projects a positive and professional image at all times

• Reports to work on time and coordinates schedule to achieve maximum efficiency

• Establish and promote clinical programs/enhancement as indicated

• Engage in recruiting interviews, employee development, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective actions, performance appraisals

• Work pro-actively to manage and build PRN pool, contact and schedule as needed

• Participate in facility and company meetings

• Develop professional working relationships with staff, facility team members, residents, and resident family members
