Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience working on haul trucks, heavy haul trailers, and heavy equipment. In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet, ensuring all vehicles and machinery meet operational and safety standards. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on haul trucks, heavy haul trailers, and specialized heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and overall equipment condition.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.
- Collaborate with the fleet team to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency roadside or field service calls as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role or a technical school certification in diesel mechanics.
- Experience working on haul trucks, heavy haul trailers, and specialized hauling equipment is highly preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and DOT regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
