Job Overview:
West Penn Energy Services is seeking an experienced Pipeline Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations on pipeline construction sites. The Pipeline Construction Supervisor will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in pipeline construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Supervise daily pipeline construction activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules, work plans, and technical specifications.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage pipeline construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure optimal team performance and productivity.
- Quality Control: Oversee and inspect work to ensure it meets company and regulatory standards. Address issues or deficiencies as they arise.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site, ensuring the team follows all regulations and identifying potential hazards for corrective actions.
- Resource Management: Coordinate the delivery and usage of materials, tools, and equipment, maintaining inventory levels and proper resource allocation.
- Scheduling: Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely project completion. Adjust work plans and schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, inspections, material deliveries, and crew timesheets.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any construction-related issues, such as delays, equipment breakdowns, or safety concerns.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project managers, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project.
- Compliance: Ensure all construction activities are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pipeline Construction Supervisor or similar role, with hands-on pipeline construction experience.
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction methods, processes, and best practices.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on-site.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and pipeline construction documents.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in oil and gas pipeline construction.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or similar qualifications.
