West Penn Heavy Haul LLC is seeking an experienced Rigger to join our Rig Moving Crew. This role is essential in safely securing, lifting, and positioning drilling rigs and heavy equipment. The Rigger must be comfortable working at heights, climbing rig structures, and signaling crane operations to ensure safe and efficient rig moves.
Key Responsibilities:- Secure and rig loads for lifting, ensuring proper balance and weight distribution.
- Climb and work at heights on rig structures to assist with dismantling, lifting, and reassembly.
- Use hand and radio signals to communicate effectively with crane operators and ground crew.
- Inspect and select appropriate rigging gear, including slings, shackles, chains, and straps.
- Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards for rigging and lifting operations.
- Assist in assembling and disassembling rigging components during moves.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on rigging equipment to ensure safety compliance.
- Work in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor environments and extreme weather.
- Travel as needed for rig moving projects.
- Required Certifications: NCCCO Rigger & Signal Person Certification or equivalent.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing rig structures.
- Experience in rig moving, crane signaling, and heavy lift operations.
- Strong understanding of rigging principles, load dynamics, and crane signaling.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
