Position: Assistant Principal - West Plains High School
Brief Description:
The West Plains School District is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Assistant High School Principal for the upcoming school year. West Plains High School houses approximately 1150 students grades 9-12. West Plains High School has a rich tradition of excellence. Successful candidate will possess the ability to lead the building in the pursuit of excellence in education, service, and life while providing opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, Response to Intervention, and working with student discipline. The successful candidate(s) will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine effectiveness of instruction.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of at least two years of successful teaching experience.
2. Administrative or supervisory experience preferred.
3. Must hold a valid principal’s certificate for level of position
4. Have a minimum of a Master’s degree.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
